Unlock Life-Changing Potential: Commitment Matters

There is a powerful energy here on the planet right now. We are all being called to elevate who we are being – more awareness, consciousness, healing, joy, abundance, fulfillment and success. To do this, we must remain committed to ourselves!

The good news is, there is no one right way to do this. It is truly an individual thing that everyone has the opportunity to travel in a way that fits them best. I am excited to bring you an excerpt from my book “Radiant Achievement’ that offers up numerous additional practices and activities for expanding your commitment muscle. I hope you enjoy them.

Activating and strengthening your inner Power of Commitment

 is empowering and life-giving.

Pursuing Radiant Achievement doesn’t mean forcing a Commitment; rather, your Commitment is empowered by an inner feeling of yes. Your full-body Commitment is your anchor as you take steps to achieve your goal. My clients and I have used several methods to strengthen our Power of Commitment. Try these:

  1. Write down your goal and refer to it often (preferably daily). Feel the yes you felt when you first desired the goal. See yourself having already achieved the goal. Describe how it looks and feels when you achieve your calling. What are you doing? Where are you doing it? Who are you BEING as you live your calling? See deeply into this vision and bring it to life. The more vivid the detail, the stronger you will feel the achievement of your calling.
  2. Create space in your life to pursue your goal. Look at your current “obligations.”  What can you stop doing? What can you start doing to support the achievement of your goal? Be realistic about how much time you are willing to dedicate NOW to pursuing your goal. Remember, this is not a race. You know your dream will manifest in its time, and it means devoting some time toward the goal, even if it’s only one hour a week. Small progress over time strengthens your Commitment.
  3. If your goal seems too large right now, what smaller piece can you commit to? Some callings from long ago I am now only realizing! Timing depends on how strong the calling feels now. Are you are called to step in for 100% focus and attention? Or do you feel you can only give it limited time for now? If your time is limited, find a smaller piece of the larger calling and make it so in a shorter time-frame and with less pressure. Our soul is not attached to how we move toward our calling; it only cares that we commit to something on that path. Start small and build from there.
  4. Identify and let go of old ways of being and thinking. What limits you? Is it your stories about yourself, stories about abundance or about love? Is it something else? Listen to your self-talk and be aware of your actions. Ask yourself, “Is ______ holding me back or moving me toward my goal?” If it’s not clearly moving you forward, then some part of it is limiting you. Do your inner work to identify and let go of the disempowering belief. Use the process outlined in Chapter 4 about Mindset. It can be difficult to see our stories; be open to getting support.
  5. Take action that is good enough without needing to be perfect. You lose connection to the momentum (and your Commitment) to your goal when you focus on perfection. Do your best in the moment and continue to step out, even if you don’t feel fully prepared.
  6. Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Commitment is not about comfort. Shifting into the mindset that you will be uncomfortable at times helps you stay committed to your goal. Doubts, fears, concerns, uncertainty, etc., are all part of the journey of pursuing your goal.
  7. Be okay with not knowing or seeing the entire path toward your goal. Focus on the next best step. That is where your current Commitment lies. Commit to achieve the near-term actions, and trust that all actions will be accomplished in perfect timing.

As you apply these practices, pay attention to how you are feeling about your yourself and your goal. The more you “FEEL” that goal in your life – whether that is joy, abundance, freedom, bliss, or peace, let that be a sign that you are deeply anchored to and committed to your goal. To stay there, keep this list as a handy toolkit!

Triggered to Tranquil: Turning Uncertainty into Personal Growth

There’s an interesting thing that happens to us when we commit to a goal, dream or calling. “Things” will bubble up and bother us that we never seemed to notice before. What’s happening is that this new version we are stepping into is not compatible with some of our current thoughts, beliefs, conditioning, and especially unprocessed stuck emotions. I am seeing this with my journey of calling in/attracting my divine compatible soul mate! I have had TRIGGERS! Triggers don’t mean we can’t live with grace, ease, joy and flow. In fact it’s the opposite! These things
